Prepare RoF2
Copy your working EverQuest RoF2 client into a new folder, such as C:\Games\NMS-Multiclass.
START PLAYING
Four steps. No launcher required.
Make a separate copy of your RoF2 folder so other emulator installations stay untouched.
Install the patch
Download the custom patch, open the ZIP, and extract everything directly into that new EverQuest folder. Choose replace files when asked.
Download latest patch →Create a shortcut
Right-click eqgame.exe, create a shortcut, then add patchme after the closing quote in its Target field.

Log in and play
Start the new shortcut. Enter the username and password you want to use. A new account is created automatically the first time you log in.

The server list is empty
Open eqhost.txt in your game folder. It should contain [LoginServer] on the first line and Host=162.222.206.135:5999 on the second. Extract the patch again if it does not.
Spells, names, or spell icons are wrong
Re-extract the entire patch and replace files. The four exported client data files must exist both in the game folder and in its Resources folder.
The game tries to patch or will not start
Run eqgame.exe patchme through the shortcut described above. Do not use the official EverQuest patcher on this copied client.
The NMS loot window does not appear
Enter the world, then type /nms. The custom dinput8.dll and UI files must be in the correct locations.
Windows Security flags dinput8.dll
The custom DLL hooks the old RoF2 client to add multiclass windows and fixes, so some scanners may treat the unsigned file cautiously. The add-on source is publicly available with the server project. Only install files you received from this site.
A zone is black, missing, or crashes
Confirm you started with the correct RoF2 client and did not mix it with Titanium or another EQEmu client. Restore your clean RoF2 copy and reinstall the patch.
